Holiday Overtime
You can set up your Holiday calendar in Timecard Rules>Holiday Definitions. Flow uses your Location settings for State/Province to default the available list of Holidays in the Holiday Definitions table.
Once you have your Holidays added, you can add timecard rules to automate the payments for holiday pay and overtime.
To trigger a Holiday Overtime rule, use the expression isHoliday() in the Expression column
1.5x for Working on a Holiday
To set up a Holiday Overtime rule in WorkSight FLOW, applying overtime to all hours when an employee works on an observed Holiday date, you will want to add a new row in the Timecard Rules > Overtime Rules table that includes the expression isHoliday. The isHoliday references the Holiday Definitions table and triggers the overtime rule to apply.
When complete, the row in the Overtime Rules table should look like this:
1.5x for Working on a Holiday and 2.0x after 12
Add a 2nd limit and factor to your rule to pay and include the isHoliday() expression
When complete, the row in the Overtime Rules table should look like this:
Example of Holiday Overtime in a Timecard
Timecard after Holiday Overtime 1.5x rule application, note that a factor of 1.5x and Overtime Reason “Holiday Overtime” is now applying to all hours worked on the employee’s day off:
Timecard after Holiday Overtime 2.0x rule application, note that a factor of 1.5x and Overtime Reason “Holiday Overtime” is applying to the hours between 8-12, and a factor of 2.0x and Overtime Reason “Holiday Overtime” is now applying to all hours greater than 12:
