Daily Overtime
Daily overtime rules can be added to Flow in the Timecard Rules > Overtime Rules to apply overtime to the employee’s timecards on a per day basis.
1.5x after 8 hours worked
To set up a basic Daily Overtime rule in Flow you will want to add a new row in the Timecard Rules > Overtime Rules table.
When complete, the row in the Overtime Rules table should look like this:
Daily Overtime for varying shift lengths and multiple limits
When adding your overtime rules, you may need to define overtime for separate groups of employees, depending on the area, group, job, shift, or number of hours scheduled per day.
For example, an organization may have employees who work different shift schedules:
- 5 shifts, 8 hrs/day
- paid daily overtime (1.5x) after 8 hours and double time (2.0x) after working 12 hours per day.
- 4 shifts, 10 hrs/day
- paid daily overtime (1.5x) after 10 hours and double time (2.0x) after 12 hours per day.
To set up these Daily Overtime rules in WorkSight FLOW, applying 1.5x and 2.0x after different limits, you will want to add two rows to the table that include a condition that separates the two groups such as a shift pattern or shift type.
When complete, the rows in the Overtime Rules table should look like this:
