How does Time-entry Work?

Initial timecard data is automatically generated based on your scheduled shifts.  If a schedule for the selected date range has been generated/viewed and posted in the desktop app, a timecard is created and available to view in the mobile app.  When shift details are changed in the timecard, the changes will automatically flow through to the schedule, and vice-versa.

What is the best way to edit times or units?

Breaking a timecard down in the mobile app is most easily done by changing the start and end times to reflect the portion of the shift that you want to make a change to, rather than changing units. 

Note: The application is designed specifically to "leave the break" in place when you type units in an entry that includes a break. The desktop schedule and timecard editors behave the same way.
