What is it?
This mobile app was created to allow employees to access, update and learn required workforce management-related or administrative information without waiting for someone to provide them. The app saves both employees and the human resources teams’ time. They can focus on what is truly necessary. Actions such as viewing work schedules, requesting and reviewing time off, and tracking accurate employee hours directly from the Flow mobile app are supported.
What user types are supported?
The app was designed specifically with individual employees in mind. Any other type of user, including HR, Scheduler, or Timekeeper, cannot use this app.
What mobile platforms are supported?
Currently, the app is available for iOS devices (running iOS v12 and above), and Android devices (running OS v11 and above).
While most of our testing revolved around the smartphone experience, the app should work for your tablets, as well.
Where can I get the app?
You can download the app for free by going to the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
Can I install this app on more than one device?
Yes, the app will function on multiple devices at the same time.
How much does the Mobile App cost?
The Mobile App is free to download from Google Play or the Apple Store, but your organization must have an active WorkSight Flow account at a Professional or Executive tier.
Please note the app does use data, so data usage may apply from your mobile network provider.
Do I need to subscribe to the WorkSight Flow browser-based software to use the WorkSight Flow mobile app?
Yes. The WorkSight Flow Mobile app is available to employees at organizations subscribed to the Professional and Enterprise tiers (Note: This excludes the Starter tier).
Do I need to register for the Mobile App?
Once you have been invited by your organization to use the Mobile App and accepted the invitation by supplying your username and password, you are ‘registered’ as a WorkSight Flow user.
How will I receive updates to the Mobile App?
- New users - Once the new release is available in the app stores, you can access the latest version of the Mobile App.
- Existing users - Once the new release is available in the app stores, existing users will be informed that an update for the Mobile App is available via a message to their smartphone, such as “There are new updates available”. Depending on a user’s personal smartphone setting the Mobile App will either be automatically or manually updated. For users who have automatic updates enabled, the Mobile App will be updated the next time they connect via Wi-Fi. If they have manual updates enabled, they will be directed to the app store to update the Mobile App.
Please note: If you are still having any issues downloading the app, we recommend you delete your old G Mobile App and download the new Mobile App from the relevant app store.
Can I receive Push Notifications about client activity?
No. This feature is currently being considered so push notifications are not active at this time. Thank you for your patience!
Is it the same experience in the apps as in the browser?
No, not exactly. For example, in the apps, we show the data for the signed-in employee only. Similarly, keyboard shortcuts are not available because you mainly use touch rather than a keyboard to navigate on mobile devices.
