Additional View Functionality in a Schedule

User-defined view: displayed data is filtered for the variables selected by the user.

The Advanced Search view can be saved for re-use.

Note: The icons on the Main Pane Toolbar have visible tooltips when the mouse hovers over them.
Group View
Access a Group View
Select an Area/Group by clicking on the Area Name in the Sidebar, then clicking on the relevant Group Name. The Group View is displayed in the Main Pane.
Manage Displayed Fields within Cells of the Grid
Note: By default, the times and reasons are automatically displayed in the Shift Cell when they are different from the Shift Pattern designated for the job

Change the displayed fields on a view by selecting the cog gear icon in the top right of the scheduled display. Flow displays the toggleable columns and job and shift cell display options.

Change a View’s Date Range

Select a View in the Sidebar

Click the Date Picker in the Main Pane Toolbar

Manually key in the date
-
Click the small calendar to pick the date from a calendar

Navigate ahead or back by one iteration (either by one week or one day, depending on the duration selected) by clicking the arrows on either side of the date control.
Note: The Calendar control in the main pane toolbar has four options in its header: This Week, Next Week, Today and Yesterday. When one of the calendar options is clicked, the Schedule, Time Off, Timecards and Reports are displayed for the specified date range each time a saved view is opened. This week and next week are associated with the Settings>Location defined Start of Work Week.
Change the View’s Duration
Views in Plan, Pay and Report can be displayed for a span of one or two weeks or for a single day. Views in Plan>Time off can also be displayed for a 3 or 4 week duration.

Click the Duration Selector in the Main Pane Toolbar

Set a Default Layout for a Group View
To save the settings for toggleable columns, filter group, sort on a group view

Select a View in the Sidebar.
Flow displays the view in the main pane -
Select the More Options icon in the main pane tool bar

Select Save Layout as Default
Each time the Group/View is opened it will open with the saved layout vs the standard layout.
Filter, Group, and Sort Views
Message Status Filter Icons
Messages are added to shift cells when rules are configured to display them or when the user adds a comment to a Shift cell. Icons associated with the level of the message allow you to filter messages on the schedule to easily see the messages that are most important to you without having to manually scroll through each column/row. Each message icon is followed by a count of the number of messages for the level.
There are four levels of message icons:

Info (blue)

Warning (yellow)
-
Error (red)
-
Success (Green)
Filter Data in the View

Select a View in the Sidebar
-
Click the filter button in the Main Pane Toolbar
The Filter By dialog appears -
Specify the applicable filters for the data that you want to be displayed in your view

Click Save
Your view will now display only the data that you have selected in the filters.
Group a View

Select a View in the Sidebar
-
Click the Group button in the Main Pane Toolbar
The Group By menu will appear -
Select the option in the list for the data type that you want to group your view by.
Sort a View

Select a View in the Sidebar
-
Click the Sort button in the Main Pane Toolbar
The Sort By menu will appear -
Select the option in the list for the data type that you want to sort your view by

The first time you click on the data type, it will sort ascending
-
The second time you click on the data type, it will sort descending
-
The third time you click on the data type, it will clear the sort.

Clear Filters Feature
There are two methods which can be used to apply filters:

Click the filter button in the Main Pane Toolbar (described above).

Click the Advanced Search button in the Main Pane Toolbar (described below).
When a filter has been applied, the area on the screen immediately above the filter shows Filters Applied and gives the option to clear filters by clicking on the Clear Filters link.
If you apply a filter using the Filter button, clicking on Clear filters will remove all applied filters, except Area and Group, so the user remains in the area and group they originally applied the filter to.
If you apply a filter using the Advanced Search button, clicking on Clear filters will remove all applied filters, including Area and Group, and the user will be presented with data from all Areas/Groups they have access to. To return to the original Area/Group, they must be re-selected from the Navigation Pane on the left.
Advanced Search Views
Create an Advanced Search View

Click on the ellipses beside Shared Views on the Navigation Pane
The Shared Views Options menu appears -
Click Advanced Search in the menu
The Advanced Search dialog appears
Note: Area and Group are pre-populated in an Advanced Search. -
Select as many additional variables of data that you wish to be displayed in your view

You may choose to see the data for more than one area, group, occupation, etc.

You may choose to see only data relating to a specific occupation, shift type, reason code, etc.

When you are finished making your selections, click Search
The Main Pane will display the view for the selections made in the Advanced Search Dialog. -
The header ‘breadcrumbs’ will indicate that you are looking at the results of an advanced search
.
Save an Advanced Search View

Create an Advanced Search View

Click the Save button next to the Advanced Search pearl in the Main Pane Toolbar
The Save Search View dialog appears -
Give your Advanced Search View a name
-
Click Save
WorkSight closes the dialog and a message will appear in the bottom right corner, confirming that the Search View was created successfully -
The new View will now be available for selection in the Sidebar under the ‘My Views’ header
Delete an Advanced Search View

Find the view that you want to delete in the Sidebar.

Click the ‘More Options’ button to the right of the view name.

Select Delete View.
A message will appear in the bottom right corner, confirming that the View was deleted successfully -
The View will disappear from the Sidebar.
Open or Rename an Advanced Search View

Find the view that you want to open under My Views in the sidebar.

Click the ‘More Options’ button to the right of the view name.

Select Rename View.
The Rename Search View dialog appears -
Click OK.
A message will appear in the bottom right corner, confirming that the View was updated successfully -
Press F5.
The updated name will appear in the Sidebar under My Views
Pagination in a View
Pagination features are found in the Main Pane Footer.

The user can choose how many rows are to appear on a ‘page’ in the schedule. The current default is 50.
-
The number of jobs being displayed on the current page are shown as well as the total number of jobs contained in the schedule.

Forward and back arrows allow scrolling through pages.
