Overview
The Testing Tool allows a designated user to create test timecards for test employees to confirm that changes made to the Rules tables have not impacted previous test scenarios.
By Default, the Super Administrator and Administrator roles have access to Test and can create tests from existing timecards. They can grant other users these rights in Settings>Users on the Test tab.
Tests show whether the timecard is passing or failing and calculated timecard results are compared against expected results to flag inconsistencies.

To Access the Test Module
To access the TEST Module in WorkSight, click on the User menu and choose Toggle Test Mode. The green checkmark indicates the TEST option is accessible.
Click on the TEST tab which appears in the header.
The data that is displayed will be limited to the Area & Group or custom Shared View that is selected in the left pane, or the specific selections in the Filters or Advanced View options.
The TEST Module contains 2 modes;

Summary Mode
When the mode toggle is set to Summary, the main pane will show a list of employees on the left. Clicking on an employee’s name will load their timecard test in the right side of the Main Pane.
Summary Mode Components

Test Timecard List: All of the test employees who have timecard tests in the selected Area/Group or Custom Shared View, Run All Tests and Run Selected Tests buttons

Timecard Testing Tool Header: The Breadcrumb Trail (Area/Group), Mode Buttons (Summary, Edit Timecard), Delete test, Update test and Add Test buttons, filter view options, and timecard action menu (Save Layout as Default)

Timecard Test Details: The timecard test results for the selected employee contains

Test Header: Employee Name, the date range of the test data, Last Run Date, and Last Edited by (username)

Timecard Expected Results: Test Description and Tags (for filtering) which may be edited. Expected Gross, Calculated Gross and Difference fields are displayed when the test is run.. Details of the calculations are shown in the Expected Results Grid.

Timecard Summary: Summary of timecard test for the selected employee for each day in the date range. Read-only Data appears in the Grid.

Timecard Details:

Timecard Summary – Summary of timecard data for the selected date range. Data is read-only in this section

Daily Timecard – all details for the date selected in the Timecard Header, batch status, and timecard approval states. Daily timecard grid with current and expected hours totals; toggles to show or not show Premiums, Other Payments, Breaks, and UDF fields; more options menu.

Other Payments – Payments that are not directly related to worked time

Testing Tool Actions
Save View
In Summary Mode, any filters applied can be saved as a default view setting when the area/group is selected.
In Edit Timecard Mode, options for displaying the timecard can be saved as a default setting.

Click on the More Options menu

Choose Save View.
The options chosen in the mode are saved an will appear as the default the next time the area/group is opened in Test mode
