We have added a new Location setting to allow you to define the “Start of Week”. This can be used for views, timecard rules, and other user preferences.

[Settings - Location] Single Approval Time Off Workflow Option

We have created a new workflow where "approved " is the final status. The final status updates the schedule with the absence, generates the timecard with the time off/absence details, and the bank balance is updated at the same time.

The last used selection is stored in the browser settings for the user. For example, If the user opens a view with the setting of This Week, the next time the user logs in the schedule will automatically display as of this week's Start of Week.

This update will allow you to filter messages on schedules, down to specific message levels to easily see messages that are most important to you without having to manually scroll through each column/row.

[Schedule] Add Comment to a Shift

We have introduced the possibility to add comments to a shift. In the Shift Details right pane, the user clicks on the More Options (…) menu at the top and chooses Add Comment. The Add Comment dialog appears. The user enters the comment they wish to see, chooses a level for the message (Info, Success, Warning, or Error), and clicks Save. Messages are displayed on both shifts and the corresponding timecards.

[Assignment Validation] Employee is assigned to a job but is no longer active

This message appears when an employee has an assignment but the employee has been archived.

A new validation rule has been added that will display a message that appears when an employee has been scheduled to a shift but the employee has subsequently been archived.

A new validation rule has been added that will display a message that appears when a shift is booked off directly in the schedule (i.e. not via a time-off request).

[Time Off ] Transaction Details

We have added a toggle to switch between Transaction Details and Request History on the Time Off Pane. When a time-off type has been selected in the Time Off Balances grid, multiple rows may be displayed in the Transaction Details Grid. A scroll bar will appear on the right of the grid to see more transactions.

We have added a toggle to switch between Transaction Details and Request History on the Time Off Pane. "Request History" shows requests associated with the Time Off Type selected in the top grid (Time Off Balances section). There are 2 grids in this section, “Upcoming Time Off” and “Past Time Off”. “Upcoming Time Off Shows” requests with any End date greater than or equal to today. “Past Time Off” shows requests with an End Date less than or equal to today. A maximum of 10 rows are displayed at once, in each grid and there is a scroll bar on the right of the grid to see additional requests.

A red error icon appears next to the time off type, on the Time Off Pane, in the event that a bank gets overdrawn.

[Timecard] Rules Automatically Run After Editing Timecard Rules

When opening timecards WorkSight will check if the rules have been edited since the last time the timecards had been edited. If a change is detected the rules will rerun for the given employee(s) for the entire week.

Exclude test/deleted/archived employees from reports

WorkSight excludes test employees and any deleted employees from the Reports found under the "Reports Menu". Archived employees will be excluded from the timecard reports when no timecard records are produced, however, historical timecard reports run for previous time periods will reflect any activity that occurred when the employee was active.
