What is an Occupation?
The occupation also commonly referred to as a job classification or job code, typically designates the rate of pay and responsibilities of a job.
There are two ways to create an Occupation:

From the Settings Screen: Click your profile photo. In the drop-down menu, select “Settings”. Select the Organization>Occupation option from the sidebar.

From the Job Details Pane: Click in the Occupation field and select Add New Occupation. For more details, please view the Occupations article in the Plan category of the Help Desk Creating and managing Occupations
To create or manage an Occupation

Click your profile photo

In the drop-down menu, select “Settings”. FLOW loads the Settings Page.

In the left sidebar, select the arrow next to Organization to show/hide Organization Components In the Sidebar, select Occupation. The Main Pane will now show a list of occupations for the organization

If you wish to add an Occupation click on
Add Occupation button in the Main
Pane Toolbar. A blank Occupation Details Pane will be displayed in the Right-hand pane. Go to Step 4 -
To edit an Occupation, click the pencil (edit) icon in the bottom left corner of any of the Occupation cards. The Right Pane will now display the Occupation details

Complete the Occupation fields as described below

Press Save to commit your changes
Occupation Fields
Occupation Name
Type in the name you wish to call the Occupation
Code
Type is a code associated with the Occupation
Tags
Tags allow you to categorize, filter, and denote additional information. Multiple tags needed for the Location to assist in searching etc. can be created in this field
You can add tags to associate with the Occupation
To Save an Occupation
Click Save or press Enter
FLOW closes the dialog and a message will appear in the bottom right corner, confirming that the Occupation was created successfully.
The Occupation will appear in the Occupation window in Settings.
To Undo your Occupation changes
Click Undo or press Esc

If you are creating a new Occupation, the right pane fields are cleared,

if you are editing an existing Occupation,
-
the fields revert to the last previously saved values

the Save button is dimmed

Occupation Actions

To take action on an Occupation:

Click the three-dot (…) icon in the right pane and select from the occupation action menu

Add a User Defined Field (UDF)

Delete Occupation
-
Archive
-
Unarchive
Add a User Defined Field (UDF)
A UDF is a custom field added to reflect information which can be used for filtering Occupations or by the Rules to calculate timecards. To add a UDF to an Occupation, see

Delete Occupation
If you create an Occupation in error or decide it’s unnecessary, you can delete it. If you delete an Occupation and it has no associated shifts it is a "delete" but if you delete an Occupation and there are associated jobs/shifts it behaves as an archive.
To delete an Occupation from the right pane:

Click the three-dot icon from the right pane

Select Delete Occupation
Archive Occupation

Click the three-dot icon from the right pane

Select Archive
A Toast message appears that the Occupation has been successfully archived
Unarchive Occupation

Click the three-dot icon from the right pane
-
Select Unarchive Occupation
A Toast message appears that the Occupation has been successfully unarchived
